Silent Gliss electric roller blinds in Hadley Wood |
January 2012 - Mrs H, Hadley Wood - Flamingo Blinds installed a number of blinds to this property consisting of friction control roller blinds, wood slat venetians and electrically operated Silent Gliss roller blinds. The Silent Gliss electric roller blinds are of a very high quality and a quiet running noise when in operation, they also provide excellent sun shading and good thermal quality's for the winter months which can provide savings on a property's heating costs. Our client had an unusually high window of 5m installed (see bottom photo) and wanted a single roller blind to cover this application. At Flamingo we love a challenge and suggested the Silent Gliss large roller blind system, so working along side with our clients building contractors to acquire the correct fixings and electrical supplies this request was achieved with great success.

January 2012 - Flamingo Blinds were commissioned by Edge Interiors who are based in London to install a free standing awning system for the Bootroom Restaurant which is owned by Liverpool Football Club. This system provides an ideal sun shade for the warmer months and equally good protection in the winter months from the rain. This system is of an extremely high quality made in northern Italy, it can be fully retracted when any shading is not required. Needless to say the clients were very happy with the end product.

On behalf of Jarvis Construction and Tina Nieman Da Costa of T-Space Architects, Flamingo Blinds have just completed their part in the 2 year project to restore the Manor House in Wormley, Herts. Flamingo Blinds provided and installed a combination of Luxaflex Silhoeutte shades, Luxaflex Duette blinds and Luxaflex Facette shades, plus black-out blinds and motorised curtain tracks from Goelst, as well as Silent Gliss motorised tracks. Much of this selection was linked to the Crestron Home Automation system provided by BOXCOM. Flamingo were awarded this contract in late 2009 and worked with the architect to provide the right solutions for the window blinds requirements.

Over the weekend of 19-20th of December and despite the perilous weather conditions, Flamingo Blinds completed the installation of 10 motorised Silent Gliss 4870 system roller blinds at the Head Office of The Sanctuary Housing Association, Castle Street Worcester. Solar mesh fabric with 1% visibilty was used, in order to allow just the correct degree of light into the building, whilst still filtering the glare. The blinds worked from remote control handsets, and were at 6m fixing heights, requiring the use of a portable tower. Some of the blinds were coupled units which facilitated a width of over 6m. Helen Morris, the office manager was on site during the installation and expressed her satisfaction with function of the blinds and the way in which they had been fitted.

When designer Leyla Sezer was looking for an awning for a vegan restaurant, SAF, in London's trendy Hoxton, she could find only one supplier who was able to provide something out of the ordinary. Her specific requirement was for an awning which extended further than that which had been offered by competitors.
Flamingo Blinds supplied her with an Italian system with a massive 9m width and 4.5m arm projection, which was exactly what was required. Flamingo Blinds have fitted 3 motorised drop arm awnings, made at the Flamingo Blinds own factory in Potters Bar, as well as several internal blinds for the London Borough of Enfield's Arnos Resource Centre in New Southgate, North London. Flamingo Blinds are on the The London Borough of Enfield's preferred supplier list for council offices, schools and day centres. The Borough architect, Mr. Anil Rana was especially pleased with the motorised awning which featured Somfy motors. The job was completed in March 2009.
After long research, The King's College Hospital, Dulwich, awarded Flamingo Contracts the contract to supply 6 very large dim-out roller blinds for their seminar room. The job was completed in February 2009.
Hornsey Road Children's Centre in Holloway, North London have just had installed by Flamingo Blinds a combination of 30 blinds, featuring roller, venetian and vertical blinds. We have completed the job in February 2009.

Having used Flamingo Contracts several times previously, he engaged the company for a just completed project in Holloway Road, North London, where Flamingo Blinds replaced the arms, roller barrel and fabric on traditional shop-blind.

Adnams Brewery new Cellar and Kitchen Shop |
Flamingo Blinds were specified by Architects Ash Sakula, from London, to provide Markilux ES-1 awnings for the new Adnan's Brewery Complex, in Southwold, Suffolk. This project, which is scheduled for completion in late Autumn 2008, features 6 motorised awnings, with remote-control handsets, which are top of the range Retro style awnings, of a style and design that is unique to Markilux.

Flamingo Blinds have just completed an export order for Nigeria, totalling nearly 200 roller blinds, for one of Lagos`s newest buildings, occupied by VMobile, Nigeria. Flamingo used Mermet solar screen fabric, on a 36mm Heavy duty Benthin System.
The Nigerian contact, Olayinka Otuyalo – who was introduced to Flamingo by John Kaye of the EMC Advertising Gifts Company – said, after the initial delivery was fitted.
